Senior Helpers of Polk County Walks for a Cause: Together for a World Without Alzheimer’s

On Saturday, December 6, our Senior Helpers of Polk County team will be lacing up our sneakers and walking with purpose at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year’s event will take place at the breathtaking Bonnet Springs Parkright here in Lakeland—a gathering place that feels just right for such an important community cause.

For us, this walk is more than an event. Every step we take represents the clients we serve, the families we support, and the loved ones we’ve known who face the challenges of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. At Senior Helpers, we see firsthand the impact this disease has on seniors and caregivers alike. That’s why we are committed to being“One Step Closer to a Cure.”You’ll see it proudly displayed on our team shirts with the hashtag #endalzwithus.

As our team page says:

"Senior Helpers of Polk County, FL unites in a movement to reclaim the future for millions. Join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer's, and provide programs to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans."
